Browser script execution via reflected password input
Published Jan 23, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025
Reflected XSS in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through the admin login password field. The /admin/login page substitutes the submitted password into its #(password) template expression without HTML encoding, causing markup in the value to execute when rendered. Exploitation requires user interaction with crafted input, after which the script can access browser data and perform actions available to the affected session.
