Stored XSS via unfiltered contact field
Published Jan 12, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025
Stored XSS in JFinalcms 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser through contact input. The /gusetbook/save handler stores the contact value without proper encoding or filtering, and /admin/guestbook later renders it for an administrator. Exploitation requires low-privileged submission access and an administrator to open the stored entry, enabling browser-context data access and page modification.
