CVE-2024-22447

Code execution via malicious DLL preloading

Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026

DLL search path hijacking in Dell Peripheral Manager before 1.7.3 allows local users to execute arbitrary code by preloading a malicious DLL. The application searches an attacker-influenceable path for a required library and loads the planted DLL instead of the intended dependency. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, high attack complexity, and user interaction; the loaded code runs in the application's context.
