Privileged access via undisclosed authorization bypass
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Authorization bypass in HPE FlexNetwork and FlexFabric switch firmware allows remote authenticated users to gain privileged switch access. HPE maps the flaw to authorization bypass through a user-controlled key but has not published the affected interface, parameter, or incorrect authorization operation. Exploitation requires existing low-privileged access, an adjacent-network position, and user interaction, and it discloses switch information and permits limited modification.
