Account compromise via unrestricted password guessing

Brute-force protection failure in Dell RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines 5.3.x and 6.0.SP1 allows remote attackers to automate password guessing. The RecoverPoint login form fails to restrict excessive authentication attempts, permitting repeated automated password submissions. No authentication or user interaction is required; a successful guess reveals a valid user's password and permits access under that identity.
