CSRF in the Argo CD API before 2.7.16, 2.8.8, 2.9.4, and 2.10-rc2 allows remote attackers to act as authenticated users. The API parses JSON bodies sent as text/plain instead of requiring application/json, avoiding the browser's CORS preflight and cross-origin block. Exploitation requires control of HTML on the same parent domain and an authenticated user to open it; resulting API actions run with that user's permissions.
