CVE-2024-22410

Local code execution via replaceable startup DLLs

Published Jan 17, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024

Untrusted DLL search paths in Gluwa Creditcoin on Windows allow local users to execute code by replacing startup libraries. The creditcoin-node binary loads named networking, cryptographic, and Visual C++ runtime DLLs at startup without protecting replacement copies in its program directory. Exploitation requires low-privileged access to overwrite that directory and occurs only in the project's unsupported native Windows configuration.
