Service interruption via crafted request memory exhaustion
Published Mar 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Denial of service in IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 24.0.0.4 allows remote attackers to exhaust server memory. A specially crafted request triggers unbounded memory consumption, but IBM has not disclosed the affected request field, parser, or allocation path. Exposure requires openidConnectClient-1.0 or socialLogin-1.0 to be enabled; successful exploitation interrupts service availability without reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
