Unauthorized poll voting via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in 2code Himer before 2.1.1 allows remote attackers to cast unauthorized poll votes via forged requests. The wpqa_question_poll AJAX action accepts attacker-supplied poll, post, and vote fields without validating an anti-CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled HTML; the resulting POST can record a vote on a poll unavailable to that user.
