CVE-2024-22348Network attack vector

Unauthorized privileged actions via permissive CORS

Published Jan 20, 2025 · Updated Jan 21, 2025

Permissive CORS in HCL DevOps Velocity 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to perform privileged actions through untrusted domains. The CORS policy fails to limit allowed origins to trusted domains, causing requests from attacker-controlled origins to be accepted. Network access and no prior privileges are required; the bounded consequence is unauthorized data modification, with no reported service interruption.
