CVE-2024-22346

Administrator code execution via unqualified library call

Published Mar 14, 2024 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Privilege escalation in Db2 for IBM i 7.2 through 7.5 allows local users to execute user-controlled code with administrator privilege. A Db2 infrastructure CL command omits library qualification, allowing command resolution to select attacker-controlled code from an earlier library-list entry. Local access and control of a library-list-resolved command are required; successful exploitation grants administrator-level code execution.
