Sensitive-information disclosure via ECDSA signature timing
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Sep 1, 2025
Timing side channel in IBM CCA and 4769 Developers Toolkit 7.0.0 through 7.5.51 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information. ECDSA signature creation leaks secret-dependent timing differences to repeated remote measurements. Exploitation requires a victim to interact with attacker-controlled content, and IBM does not further identify the disclosed material.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
