Unauthorized group invitations via missing nonce validation
Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in 2code Himer before 2.1.3 allows remote attackers to invite users to any group via a forged request. The wpqa_add_group_user AJAX action accepts attacker-supplied group_id and user_id values without validating a CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to open attacker-controlled HTML; the request can invite any user to public or private groups.
