CVE-2024-22317Network attack vector

Data disclosure and DoS via unrestricted authentication attempts

Published Jan 18, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Improper authentication-attempt restriction in IBM App Connect Enterprise allows remote attackers to disclose data or interrupt service. The remote administration API does not adequately limit repeated authentication attempts, allowing brute-force traffic to bypass its protective threshold. No credentials or user interaction are required; IBM has not disclosed what information is exposed or whether service interruption is a hang or crash.
