Hard-coded credentials in IBM Storage Defender Data Resiliency Service 2.0.0 allow local users to read Kubernetes secrets. The Connection Manager OVA stores Kubernetes secrets in its configuration using reversible base64 obfuscation instead of encryption. Root access to the on-premises environment is required, and the documented consequence is disclosure of the stored credentials.
