Authenticated private-group access via unchecked group identifier
Published Jul 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 9, 2024
Authorization bypass in 2code Himer before 2.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to join private groups via a crafted AJAX request. The wpqa_accept_invite action accepts a user-controlled group_id and completes the join without verifying that the account is authorized or invited. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the documented consequence is limited to unauthorized private-group membership.
