Code execution via untrusted project deserialization
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Deserialization in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Power Design - Ecodial allows attackers to execute code through a malicious project file. The BinSerializer class processes user-supplied serialized data without adequate validation, allowing code execution in the current user's context. A valid user must open the file, and CISA ADP lists Power Monitoring Expert although Schneider's advisory and disclosed mechanism identify only Ecodial.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
