Cross-site scripting via crafted replication task tags
Published Jul 4, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
HTML injection in VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.x allows remote authenticated users to execute crafted tags in replication tasks. The replication-task interface accepts attacker-supplied HTML tags and executes them without sufficient neutralization. Network access and low privileges are required; the resulting cross-scope execution can expose or alter limited data without interrupting service.
