Information disclosure in VMware Workstation 17.x and Fusion 13.x allows guest OS users to read privileged hypervisor memory via HGFS. VMware identifies Host Guest File Sharing as the affected locus but has not published the erroneous operation that exposes memory. Exploitation requires local administrative privileges inside a virtual machine and is limited to disclosure, with no reported host modification or service interruption.
