CVE-2024-22261Network attack vector

PostgreSQL function execution via scan-log query injection

Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

SQL injection in Harbor allows remote authenticated users with privileged project roles to execute PostgreSQL functions through its API. The scan-log path passes a report UUID to ListScanTasksByReportUUID, whose raw JSONB containment query incorporates attacker-controlled SQL rather than binding the value safely. Administrator, project-administrator, or project-maintainer access is required; prepared-statement handling blocks appended updates or deletes, and responses contain only job-log content.
