Authenticated server compromise via external entity parsing
Published Aug 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
XXE in Terminalfour 8.0.0001 through 8.3.18 and XML JDBC 1.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access server resources. The Data Object and Content Syncer pass attacker-supplied XML to affected parsers, but the parser configuration and exact code path are undisclosed. An authenticated Terminalfour account and access to an XML-submission feature are required; resulting reads, outbound requests, or code execution are bounded by server privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
