CVE-2024-22207Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via default wildcard route

Published Jan 15, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

Information exposure in Fastify @fastify/swagger-ui before 2.1.0 allows remote attackers to read module files over HTTP. The default route registration in lib/routes.js sets fastify-static's root to the module directory when baseDir is absent, then passes wildcard request paths to reply.sendFile(). Any reachable Fastify service using the default plugin configuration exposes files under the installed module directory without authentication, but the published impact is read-only disclosure.
