CVE-2024-22194Public exploit

Local path disclosure via absolute-path UUID seeding

Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025

Information disclosure in Cyber Domain Ontology cdo-local-uuid 0.4.0 through 0.12.0 allows local users to confirm filesystem paths. The local_uuid function resolves the calling script path and retains the absolute top-source-directory path in the deterministic UUIDv5 seed instead of a relative script path. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, user interaction, deterministic mode, a script at the source root, and invocation details; it confirms a guessed path rather than disclosing it directly.
