Stored XSS via unsanitized key-value HTML
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2024
Stored XSS in Avo before 2.47.0 and 3.0.0.beta1 through 3.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in a viewer's browser. The key_value component interpolates stored keys and values into HTML and assigns the result to innerHTML without sanitizing either input. An attacker needs permission to edit an entry containing a key_value field, and execution requires another user to view the crafted entry; exposed data and actions inherit that viewer's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
