Unauthenticated code execution via arbitrary memory write
Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper access control in AutomationDirect P3-550E 1.2.10.9 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted UDP packet. The UDP 9999 Programming Software Connection handler for IMM 0x01A2 accepts a destination address and data from the packet, then writes that data directly to the supplied memory address. No authentication or user interaction is required; properly formatted request sequences can modify arbitrary device memory and achieve remote code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
