Stored XSS via unescaped form output
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Oliver Seidel and Bastian Germann cformsII 15.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser. The plugin emits stored, attacker-controlled form content into generated pages without output escaping; public sources do not identify the affected field or function. Exploitation requires a victim to view the stored content, and the script executes with that user's site origin and browser-session privileges.
