CVE-2024-22144Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated PHP code execution via predictable nonces

Published Apr 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Code injection in Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall 4.21.96 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP code. The plugin exposes unauthenticated AJAX functions that leak microtime, derives global nonces from predictable inputs, and lets a guessed nonce replace malware definitions with attacker-controlled regular expressions. Exploitation requires brute-forcing a nonce, after which a crafted scan selectively deletes the plugin's PHP source and leaves an eval backdoor that runs commands as the web server.
