Authenticated code execution via unescaped Ping parameters
Published Aug 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Code injection in Zabbix Server 6.4.9 through 6.4.15 and 7.0.0alpha1 through 7.0.0rc2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Monitoring Hosts Ping script passes administrator-controlled script parameters without default escaping, allowing them to alter the executed command. Restricted administrative permissions and network access to the frontend are required, and successful exploitation compromises the monitoring server infrastructure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
