CVE-2024-2211Network attack vector

Authenticated script execution via unescaped campaign name

Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Stored XSS in Gophish Admin Panel 0.12.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when a campaign is deleted. The deletion dialog concatenates the stored campaign name into SweetAlert confirmButtonText without HTML escaping, although the table escapes it. A low-privileged user must save the crafted name, and another authenticated user must open the deletion dialog, enabling script execution in the latter user's browser context.
