Command injection in F5 BIG-IP appliance mode allows remote authenticated users to cross a security boundary through iControl REST. F5 has not disclosed the affected iControl REST endpoint or how attacker-controlled data reaches a command interpreter. Exploitation requires high-privilege authentication, appliance mode, and a multi-bladed system; confidentiality and integrity can be lost without service interruption.
