CVE-2024-22064

Session decryption via reused integration-test IKE keys

Published May 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Key reuse in ZTE ZXUN-ePDG 5.20.15 through 5.20.19 allows attackers to decrypt VoWiFi user sessions during IKE. Production releases ship a shared set of ten integration-test Diffie-Hellman private keys and randomly reuse their matching public keys in IKE handshakes. An attacker must obtain one private key or crack the weakest offered exchange and observe the target session; the resulting secret exposes session traffic.
