Service interruption via malformed discovery packet
Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Improper input validation in Ubiquiti UniFi devices allows remote attackers with network access to interrupt management and discovery. The discovery service accepts a malformed discovery packet without sufficient validation; Ubiquiti has not disclosed the affected parser or failure mode. The sender must already have network access, and UniFi Express is exposed only in Mesh Mode; the bounded consequence is interruption of device management and discovery.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
