Root escalation via racy RPM post-install script

Local privilege escalation in SUSE Tomcat packages allows local users to gain root access during package installation or reinstallation. The RPM %post script changes permissions on /usr/share/tomcat/tomcat-webapps while that path is writable by the tomcat account, allowing a raced replacement to be processed with root privileges. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access as the tomcat user and precise timing during a privileged package transaction; success grants full root control.
