Stored XSS via unescaped legacy Image widget
Published Mar 23, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the legacy Image widget in Page Builder by SiteOrigin 2.29.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The widget stores attacker-controlled data without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to plant the payload, which executes whenever a user opens the affected page.
