CVE-2024-22013Public exploit

Secure Boot bypass via unauthenticated U-Boot environment

Published Sep 16, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024

Privilege escalation in Google Nest Wifi Pro 3.73.424613 allows physically proximate attackers to bypass Secure Boot via U-Boot. U-Boot loads boot-control variables from a partition without authenticating their integrity, so modified environment data can redirect the verified boot flow. Exploitation requires physical access to alter device storage and yields arbitrary code execution during the Secure Boot stage.
