CVE-2024-21982Network attack vector

Sensitive information disclosure during object-store profiling

Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Jun 16, 2025

Information disclosure in affected NetApp ONTAP 9 releases allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive data during profiler runs. NetApp identifies the storage aggregate and SnapMirror object-store profiler start commands but has not disclosed the faulty data-handling operation. An administrative user must run the advanced-privilege profiler; the exposed data is not further characterized.
