Kernel privilege escalation via arbitrary memory targeting
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
Improper input validation in the AMD RAID driver allows local users to gain kernel privileges and execute arbitrary code. The active driver accepts attacker-controlled input that can redirect memory access to an arbitrary location and support a ROP chain. Exploitation requires a local user to install a malicious program on a system where the RAID driver is installed and active, such as when firmware RAID mode is enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
