CVE-2024-21961Network attack vector

Host denial of service via PCIe buffer bounds

Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026

Buffer-bounds error in AMD processor PCIe Link logic allows guest OS users to interrupt the host through a guest virtual machine. AMD identifies improper restriction of buffer operations in the PCIe Link but has not disclosed the affected structure or the out-of-bounds operation. Exploitation requires low-privileged guest access and specific runtime conditions; the published impact is host availability loss only.
