SMM code execution via arbitrary memory overwrite

Improper input validation in AMD processor SMM firmware allows local users with high privileges to execute arbitrary code at the SMM level. The SMM input-handling path accepts insufficiently validated values and uses them to overwrite arbitrary memory. Exploitation requires local high privileges and high-complexity conditions, and successful code runs outside normal operating-system protections.
