Stored XSS via unescaped visited URLs
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in VeronaLabs WP Statistics 14.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted URL parameters. The plugin stores a visited URL containing a crafted utm_id value and renders its str_url value in the page metabox without output escaping. No login is needed to seed the value, but script execution requires a user to open the affected analytics view, enabling actions in that user's site session.
