CVE-2024-21917Network attack vector

Unauthenticated directory access via unsigned service tokens

Published Jan 31, 2024 · Updated Jan 15, 2026

Authentication bypass in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Services Platform 6.31 and earlier allows remote attackers to access another directory. The platform issues service tokens without binding them to a directory through a digital signature, so a token can be replayed against another FTSP directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful reuse exposes user information and permits settings changes.
