Published Feb 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Privilege escalation in Rockwell FactoryTalk Services Platform before 2.74 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator privileges. FactoryTalk Web Service returns incorrect user-group data during sign-in, assigning the FTSP Administrator Group to a basic-group account. Basic user group membership and network access to the sign-in interface are required; the resulting access permits reading, changing, or deleting sensitive data and interrupting the service.
