CVE-2024-2188

Stored XSS via SOAP-created port-mapping rule

Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stored XSS in TP-Link Archer AX50 firmware 1.0.11 build 2022052 allows attackers to execute JavaScript through a port-mapping rule. An unauthenticated SOAP request creates a port-mapping rule whose JavaScript payload is stored without neutralization and runs when the rule is loaded. Exploitation requires a user to load the crafted rule, allowing the script to act in that user's management-interface context.
