CVE-2024-21855Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via exposed HTTP API

Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Missing authentication in the HTTP API of mayuresh82 GoCast 1.1.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The registration handler accepts unauthenticated monitor values, and the execution monitor passes those values to bash -c without restriction. The example configuration enables the API by default, granting network-reachable attackers control of application registration, route behavior, firewall rules, and recurring command execution.
