Buffer overflow in WSD probe handling in Canon printers with firmware 12.07 and earlier or 03.09 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. The identifier-field handler writes crafted WSD probe data beyond its intended buffer; Canon has not disclosed the responsible function or copy operation. Network access to the printer is sufficient, and exploitation can execute arbitrary code or make the device unresponsive.
