CVE-2024-21739Public exploit

Firmware disclosure via flash erase suppression

Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Incorrect access control in Geehy APM32F103 devices allows physically proximate attackers to read protected flash firmware. The debug-unlock procedure erases flash before removing readout protection, but a timed electromagnetic fault suppresses that erase while protection is cleared. Physical access to the chip and fault-injection equipment are required; successful exploitation exposes firmware and device secrets, while mistimed attempts can erase flash.
