Cross-site scripting in Joomla! CMS 4.0.0 through 4.4.2 and 5.0.0 through 5.0.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user browser. Mail-address outputs in various components undergo inadequate escaping before entering generated HTML, leaving address content executable as markup. Exploitation requires a user to view an affected output; execution remains in that browser context, with no reported service interruption.
