Unauthenticated redirection via login-page destination handling
Published Jul 24, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Open redirect in Atlassian Bitbucket Data Center 8.0.0 through 8.9.12 and 8.19.0 through 8.19.1 allows remote attackers to redirect users after login. The flaw is in the login page's post-authentication redirect handling, but Atlassian has not disclosed the affected parameter or validation error. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker to induce user interaction and a successful victim login, after which the redirect sends the user to an attacker-chosen site.
