CVE-2024-21682Network attack vector

Authenticated host compromise via system-call injection

Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Code injection in Atlassian Assets Discovery 1.0 through 6.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter system-call actions. Atlassian has not disclosed the affected component, the input that reaches the system call, or the operation used to alter its behavior. Exploitation requires high-privilege authentication and no user interaction; successful injection can compromise data confidentiality and integrity or interrupt the scanner host.
