CVE-2024-2166Network attack vector

Reflected XSS via unsanitized Real Time Monitor input

Published Sep 4, 2024 · Updated Sep 5, 2024

Reflected XSS in Forcepoint Email Security before 8.5.5 HF003 allows remote attackers to execute script in Real Time Monitor pages. The Real Time Monitor modules reflect attacker-controlled input into generated web content without neutralizing executable markup; Forcepoint has not identified the affected parameter or handler. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted content, after which script runs in that user's browser context; public records do not establish broader server compromise.
